Intergenerational Program Development
Since 1979, the Center has piloted, tested and refined innovative intergenerational models that mobilize people across the lifespan to support one another and address critical social issues in their communities. Drawing upon extensive research and practice, our nationally-recognized team provides training and technical assistance to organizations in three areas:
Learning the Essential Elements of Intergenerational Programming: Gain knowledge of core components and strategies and learn how to develop intergenerational approaches that build the capacity of people of all ages to work together on solutions to your community's most pressing needs. Read more.
Replicating Successful Models: Implement proven models that build early literacy, prevent childhood obesity, promote positive youth development, support family caregiving and foster immigrant integration. Our staff can help you replicate these models in your own community. Read more.
Designing Your Own Program: Create intergenerational strategies to address specific needs in your community. The Center's staff is available to provide consultation services to organizations interested in designing their own programs. Read more.
